Privacy Policy
What information this website collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.
Effective October 5, 2026
Who I am
This website, dbmwebmarketing.com, is run by DBM Web Marketing, based in Palmdale, California. In this policy, "I," "me," and "DBM Web Marketing" mean the business. You can reach me at Ben@dbmwebmarketing.com.
What information I collect
Information you give me
When you fill out the free site review form, I collect:
- Your name and business name
- Your phone number and email address
- Your trade and your website address, if you have one
- Anything you write in the message box
If you email me directly, I collect whatever you include in that email.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site collects some information when you visit:
- Analytics. I use Google Analytics, through Google's Site Kit plugin, to see how many people visit, which pages they view, and how they found the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects details such as your browser, device type, approximate location based on your IP address, and pages visited.
- Server logs. My web host keeps standard logs, including IP addresses and the date and time of visits, for security and to keep the site running.
How I use your information
- To review your website and Google listing and send you the results you asked for
- To reply to your questions and, if you choose, talk about working together
- To understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam
I don't sell your personal information, and I don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who I share it with
I only share information with services that help me run this website and business:
- Hosting: Hostinger, which hosts the website and its email delivery.
- Analytics: Google, which provides Google Analytics.
- Email: the email provider I use to receive form submissions and reply to you.
I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of my business or others.
Cookies and Do Not Track
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. This site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them yet.
How long I keep information
Form submissions and emails are kept as long as needed to respond to you and for normal business records. If we work together, I keep project records as long as the law or our agreement requires. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
Your choices and California privacy rights
You can ask me to:
- Tell you what personal information I have about you
- Correct information that's wrong
- Delete your personal information
- Stop contacting you
California residents have rights under California privacy law, including the right to know, correct, and delete personal information, and the right not to be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, email Ben@dbmwebmarketing.com. I may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Security
This site uses HTTPS encryption, and I limit who can access your information. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information like passwords or payment details through the form.
Children
This website is for business owners. It isn't meant for children under 16, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I'll update it on this page and change the effective date at the top.
